About The Artist – Lynda H. Payton Lynda Payton, a fourth generation photographer, has been creating fine art imagery for 9 years. Her works have been on display in the U.S. and abroad. Her first work was introduced at The Pope John Paul II Cultural Center in Washington D.C, also her work has been displayed at The Ladybird Art Exhibit in London, England; The Fredrick Douglas Maritime Museum, Baltimore, Maryland The DC Community Foundation Organization and The Luis Peralta Gallery, Washington D.C. Ms. Payton has also been selected for a commissioned art piece to be painted for The City of Washington D.C. International award winning Master Painter Luis Peralta. Her work has also been considered for Grammy nomination for 8 time Grammy nominated jazz artist Ski Johnson, "Underdogs on Top", which she serves as executive producer and director of photography for the CD cover and insert.  Her passion for photography, art and technology opened up a whole new world of art creation with photographs. These works are layered digital files of photograph captures, vector art or 3D rendered imagery. These mediums opened a dimension in art that excites her and provokes thought, which leads her to surface images, add texture, and light with anything that she can imagine. In her vision, technology links the outside world and the digital world, which is where her art originates. Her passion is fueled behind exploring new ways to integrate sources to blend into imaginative art landscapes, portraits and graphics. Printed Editions are high-resolution images presented on archival acid free paper, canvas, metal and acrylic.   The Medium – “Trans Photo Digital Artistry” Computer technology has afforded Artist Lynda Payton the opportunity to use the widely available tools to render her creative inner work. The originator and creator of her process {“trans photo digital artistry,”} she sets herself from any and all other artists both traditional and contemporary. Her creation of abstract portraiture and graphic works employs traditional photographic media paired with the benefit of digital technology is an art form that revolutionizes the new era of artistic impressionism. Ms. Payton orchestrates visual components, using a variety of techniques and programs, uploading digital photographs, computer imagery, 3-D sculpting and textures. Heart, mind and soul are devoted to creating the final abstract image or portrait. To some these creations appear to be hand painted and interpreted as fine art of other textures. Ms. Payton’s art productions are original in their creation and technique, as she has mastered the craft of this exciting and original process. For as long as memory exists, the artists life has been enveloped by art. From her love of music to the world of dance and the all-encompassing drive to create and participate in various art forms. There is an aesthetic experience that occurs when, in a personal moment, a viewer interacts to the artist passion and emotion. Pencil and watercolor were the mediums first introduced to Lynda as she began creating art from outer world views, and reproduced with her vision, passion and emotion. Lynda feels that an artists’ responsibility is to be a mirror for the society in which they live. Life can be stressful, chaotic and overwhelming. Through personal creativity, Lynda Payton presents the opportunity for each viewing eye to emotionally and interpretively look at life the way it is or was, and embrace it in its own passion.   Lynda’s art productions enable the viewer to pull at their inner most emotions by provoking them to draw from their memories a place, time, or moment within which they can connect, creating joy from an era stored within their essence. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Lynda lives and resides in Maryland.
